Advanced Air Mobility expands its services in California

Wisk Aero and Long Beach announced a partnership agreement aimed at improving mobility and air transportation services in Southern California.

The partnership between Wisk Aero and Long Beach aims to bring Advanced Air Mobility to Southern California. Wisk Aero’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) technology could revolutionize travel in Los Angeles and Orange counties, providing faster, safer and more affordable access. to jobs, schools, health care and entertainment. With eVTOL, passengers would board a vehicle similar to a car or a bus, but without a driver on board.

This new partnership will allow both organizations to work together to create an AAM working group made up of leaders from the business, local government, community, and nonprofit sectors.

The group will also work closely with other groups within the city government and outside entities to ensure that all stakeholders are involved in the process.

The task force is made up of a diverse set of stakeholders from industry, academia, local governments, non-profits and other public bodies. The task force’s goal is to provide recommendations for future research and policy related to autonomous vehicles in the city.

LBEP and Wisk join forces for the development of an economic impact study. The study will be conducted in conjunction with a private consulting firm, which has experience in conducting economic impact studies for similar projects in other states.
