Play starts flights to the United States
Play, the Icelandic company dedicated to serving low-cost flights has officially started its flights to the United States. The first flight was scheduled to connect Reykjavik and Baltimore.
The Icelandic carrier also announced the launch of transatlantic flights, connecting its Paris hub to several destinations in the North American country, including New York and Boston.
The inaugural flight from Reykjavik-Keflavik to Baltimore-Washington-Thurgood Marshall took place last Friday. To operate it, Play operated its A320neo with a capacity of 180 passengers. The low-cost airline also plans to use its 192-seat A321neo to serve its flights on this route.
This flight is served daily with a departure time of 3:05 p.m. The plane will however leave the American airport in the direction of the Icelandic airport at 7:00 p.m.
Play also flies daily to Boston-Logan and Newburgh-Stewart. This flight will be operational from June 9th.
The Icelandic carrier also plans to open direct flights to Orlando at the end of next September.
