United Airlines flies to Bergen from Newark, with direct flights
United Airlines resumed flights to Norway on May 20. The American company will again offer its Newark-Bergen service at the rate of three frequencies per week.
This route was suspended about six years ago due to the drop in traffic, but United Airlines has decided to resume its flights on this route which has seen strong demand in recent months.
United Airlines now flies between Newark Airport and Bergen International on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights depart at 8:40 p.m. to arrive at 10:05 a.m. The return flights leave Norway at 11:55 a.m. to land at the American airport after twelve hours of flight. This long-haul flight is served by Boeing 757-200 with 169 seats.
Recalling that in 2019, before the pandemic spread, the United States was the country most visited by Norwegians after the United Kingdom and Germany.
With the opening of this route between Newark and Begen, Norwegian passengers of United Airlines can take flights serving thirty-two other airports in the United States and Canada.
