American Airlines ends flights between Miami and Montevideo
American Airlines has just served its last flight to Montevideo from Miami. The route serving the capital of Uruguay on which the American carrier operated three flights a week has been suspended. The frequency was provided by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 234 seats.
American Airlines plans to reopen flights to Montevideo-Carrasco airport on October 30. It will continue to serve it on a seasonal basis knowing that it maintained a regular service between the two destinations before the appearance of the pandemic which was the cause of the drop in traffic on this link.
The American carrier will therefore relaunch this service at the end of next October by serving three weekly flights to the Uruguayan destination. This flight will reset operational until March 25 of next year.
