American Airlines serves its first flight between New York and Toronto after a three-year absence
American Airlines is relaunching its flights to Toronto–Pearson from New York – JFK. The last flight served between these two destinations by the United States air carrier dates back to December 2019, before the appearance and spread of the pandemic.
After thirty seven months of absence, American Airlines returns to the city’s Pearson airport and the capital of the province of Ontario in Canada. Its first flight after the resumption was operated last Tuesday by American Eagle in an Embraer E175 (76 seats) which took off from New York airport at 9:41 a.m. to arrive at Canadian airport at 10:52 a.m.
According to Cirium, American Airlines plans to offer 2,128 seats on this route, or 1,450 more than the number of seats offered three years ago.
From now on, two daily flights will take off at 7:54 a.m. and 9:59 p.m. from New York to Toronto (arrival at 9:46 a.m. and 11:49 p.m.).
Flights departing from Toronto-Person Airport are scheduled the next day at 06:05 and 07:54.
To celebrate the resumption of flights on this route, American Airlines has launched a promotion of air tickets (from 309 USD return).
