American Airlines bolsters its fleet with three Embraer 175s
American Airlines has added three Embraer 175s to its regional subsidiary Envoy’s fleet, while Uzbekistan Airways has taken possession of the first of three expected A321neos.
The American company has signed a firm order for three new Embraer 175s for its wholly owned subsidiary Envoy Air. With deliveries to be completed this year, Envoy’s E175 fleet will grow to more than 100 aircraft by the end of 2022. The contract value is $160.2 million at list prices, “and will be included in Embraer’s order book in the fourth quarter of 2021 ” according to the press release from the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer.
“Our incredible adventure with Embraer began nearly 25 years ago with the ERJ 145. Our partnership continues to grow today with the E175s, the heart of our fleet. Not only are our customers happy with the aircraft, but the jet’s exceptional performance has allowed us to continue to provide excellent service to American Airlines,” added Pedro Fábregas, President and CEO of Envoy. “We look forward to receiving these three new aircraft later this year as we continue to expand our growing network.”
