Traveling with your boardbag becomes free on American Airlines

American Airlines is lining up, American Airlines is putting an end to the additional costs of sports equipment, surfboards included (within the limit of 3.20m and 23 kilos). A more flexible policy that applies to both domestic and international flights. A relief for our wallet!

Before, the company taxed $ 150 per board for any destination, which drastically increased the budget for our surftrip. From now on, boardbags will cost the same as standard luggage. That is, $ 30 for the first suitcase and $ 40 for any additional bag.

Charging extra for boards now seems really old fashioned. For most surfers, the cost of boardbags is one of the first things to consider when considering air travel.
