American Airlines connects Texas to Punta Cana through direct flights

American Airlines has announced that it has launched a direct flight connecting Austin, Texas, and Punta Cana.

The creation of this new route represents the opportunity to win over more tourists from the Southwest of the United States, the main outbound market to the Caribbean country, and will serve as a link with other North American cities”, adds the note.

This line is now operational with four weekly frequencies, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Roberto Henríquez, said that this flight “means more tourists for the country” to “meet the expectations that we have to fulfill this year”.

According to data offered by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, the country received 443,018 tourists in October, a record figure, which exceeds that of October 2019 by 19% and that of the same month in 2018 by 7%.
