American Airlines strengthens its presence at Des Moines airport with an additional flight from New York
Des Moines International Airport is set to welcome a new addition to its flight schedule with American Airlines’ announcement of a daily direct flight to New York. The second to the city in the Northeast of the United States.
Starting June 2, American Airlines will operate the service, departing Des Moines at 6:30 a.m. The flight lands at LaGuardia Airport at 10:10 a.m. The airliner of choice will be the 76-seat Embraer ERJ-175. A return flight will be scheduled from New York at 6 p.m. to land at Des Moines airport at 8:10 p.m.
American Airlines does not face competition on this route. The American company offers daily non-stop service between Des Moines and New York.
The national carrier of the United States offers direct flights to Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix and Washington, as well as a non-stopover seasonal flight to Miami. Prior to this new service, American’s flights between Des Moines and New York required a stopover in Chicago, Washington or Charlotte, North Carolina

American Airlines in New York continues to strengthen its flight program in New York. The United States air carrier has announced the reopening of its route connecting its JFK hub to Toronto – Pearson, whose last flight served between the two destinations dates back to December 17, 2019.

End of activities on the New York – Chile line
