Delta Air Lines sends its planes to Bogota by offering direct flights from New York.
The American company offers a daily flight between its base in New York-JFK and Bogota-El Dorado airport, operated by Boeing 757-200 that can accommodate 20 passengers in First, 29 in Comfort+ and 150 in Economy. Departures are scheduled at 6:12 p.m. to arrive at 12:05 a.m., return flights taking off the next day at 1:10 a.m. to land at 7:01 a.m. Delta competes on this route with Avianca (to JFK) and United Airlines (from Newark).
The SkyTeam alliance company had already announced an increase in capacity between Atlanta and Bogota for the winter season, via the switch to a 226-seat 767-300ER; it also lands in Cartagena from Atlanta.
