What are the Walt Disney World parks?
– MagicKingdom
Magic Kingdom is the kingdom of magic, where we find the famous Cinderella Castle. It looks a bit like the park that can be found in Paris but much larger, of course! Moreover, you can find some similar attractions there like Big Thunder Mountain, It’s a Small World, Peter Pan’s Flight or even Pirates of the Caribbean. However, rest assured even if you know Disneyland Paris by heart, you will not be disappointed by this park, because obviously many attractions only exist here.
– Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom may be your favorite park! We find ourselves immersed in the heart of the landscapes of Africa and Asia. It is a mix between amusement park and zoological park. In particular, it offers a safari aboard an all-terrain bush bus in the African savannah where you will come across lions, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, … The immersion is total! Animal Kingdom also has a real educational vocation, especially on endangered species.
The Asia section of the park is the most successful because it really feels like being in the jungle. Indeed, we come across monkeys, rickshaws and the vegetation is spectacular! The Expedition Everest roller coaster type attraction takes you aboard a train to the summit of Everest, in a fabulous Himalayan setting. The Queue is a museum dedicated to the search for the Yeti.
Also, don’t miss the brand new land “Pandora: The World of Avatar”, based on James Cameron’s famous movie, “Avatar”. It takes up the theme of the film in a very successful way.
– Epcot
Epcot is also one of my favorite parks! The emblem of the park is the famous white geosphere at the entrance, which houses the attraction “Spaceship Earth”.
The park is divided into 2 parts: “Future World”, with science-based attractions, and “World Showcase”, which allows you to visit 11 countries in one day. Thus, each country is represented by flags: England, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Mexico, France etc..
You can take a picture of yourself in one of the famous red telephone booths in England, in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, see a Mayan pyramid in Mexico, or even walk around Saint Mark’s Square in Venice, for example.
The 2 must-see attractions for me are Soarin’ around the World and Test track. In Soarin’, we are installed on a kind of hang-glider, we really have the impression of flying, it’s impressive! You may even feel dizzy at first! We go around the world, crossing magnificent landscapes, and even the smells are there. However, it is the most popular attraction in the park, so don”t forget your FastPass.
– Disney’s Hollywood Studios
As its name suggests, this park is entirely devoted to the magic of cinema. There are quite a few thrilling attractions here, such as the famous The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Tower of Terror) or “Rock’n’Roller Coaster”, a mountain-type train that rushes to the sound of music. ‘Aerosmith. There is also the famous Stars Tours, a 3D simulator that transports us to the world of Stars Wars.
Toy Story Land, based on the Toy Story cartoon. The decoration thus gives us the impression of being reduced to the size of a toy in a gigantic universe.
Shows are played several times a day like that of Indiana Jones. The show features some scenes from the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Special effects and stunts follow one another, it’s really nice to see, and it appeals to adults and children alike.
– Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon
The decoration of Typhoon Lagoon is frankly a real success! Indeed, we are transported to the Caribbean, after the passage of a typhoon! So there are boats, surfboards and fishing nets all over the park, where the typhoon actually left them. The focal point of the park is Miss Tilly, the fishing boat clinging to the top of a mountain.
Here, it’s deckchairs, swimming pool, white sand and music by the Beach Boys in the background, in short, paradise! There is a huge wave pool, giant slides, buoy courses, rapid descents aboard inner tubes, etc. It is possible to rent lockers and towels there.
– Disney’s Blizzard Beach
Again, the immersion is total at Blizzard Beach! Here, the snow fell on the park! We find ourselves surrounded by fake snow, but the illusion is there, and the scenery is really nice. It looks like a ski resort, there are even ski lifts!
As in Typhoon Lagoon, slides, rafting, or a quiet stroll in a river, everything is done to spend a day at the top.
You should also know that outside the parks, you can walk and shop at Disney Springs. It is a complex of more than 90 shops, and a multitude of bars and restaurants. Shops like Build-a-Bear, Build-a-Dino, or World of Disney or the huge LEGO store are a delight for children. For adults, there are shops such as Pandora, Under Armour, Uniqlo, Ugg, …
