ATP Flight School & Frontier Airlines announce training program for pilots
ATP Flight School and Frontier Airlines have announced a partnership for ATP graduates and flight instructors that allows them to chart a course in the airport of a commercial airliner after gaining additional experience during a training program to the airline pilot certificate.
Successful applicants for the Frontier Direct Program can speak to Frontier and obtain a conditional job offer while continuing to obtain the required 1,250 to 1,500 flight hours.
The accelerated program includes enhanced training within an Airbus A320 full motion flight simulator that helps pilots understand airline regulations, processes, and culture.
ATP Chairman Justin Dennis said he values the relationship with Frontier Airlines. “This program is a tremendous career opportunity for ATP graduates, while helping Frontier build a pool of highly skilled professional pilots who enjoy the chance to fly Frontier.
Frontier Airlines vice president of flight operations Brad Lambert said he was happy to partner with ATP, which has 53 locations and 426 aircraft in the training fleet. Coordinating with ATP to improve their jet lag program will help assess and improve the skill set required for a safe and productive airline pilot. ”
Frontier Airlines is headquartered in Denver and works on more than 100 Airbus A320s, with 150 new Airbus aircraft on order.
