Finnair opens a flight between Helsinki and Seattle
The airline Finnair has opened a new one to the United States. The Finnish carrier will offer frequencies to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport from next month.
Finnair already serves several other destinations in the North American country with flights to New York-JFK, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago, all operating from its Helsinki hub.
In order to further facilitate the transport of passengers wishing to travel to the United States from Finland and other countries in Europe, Finnair has signed codeshare agreements with several air operators such as irlines, British Airways, and Iberia.
The current challenge for the Finnish carrier is to boost sales between Europe and the USA, a new promotional axis for Finnair on the French market. Even if New York-JFK remains one of Finnair’s best-selling destinations in France from the United States, its real competitive advantage is to destinations in the center and west of the country given the flight time.
